Austin Mackell is a freelance journalist. He reported from Lebanon during the 2006 conflict between Israel and Hezbollah and from Iran during the unrest that followed the 2009 presidential election. He is currently based in Egypt, having travelled there following the revolution in February 2011. He blogs at The Moon Under Water.
